はじめまして、端くれの錬金術師と申します。このたびはビューロクラットであるKahusiさんに利用者名の変更をお願いに参りました。これまで参加している全プロジェクトで「端くれの錬金術師」を名乗っていたのですが、enwpで非ラテン文字使用禁止によるusernameblockにひっかかってしまい、「Hashikure」に変更しました。そこで、ユニバーサルログインの導入に備え、全プロジェクトで利用者名を「Hashikure」に統一しようと思い、いくつかのプロジェクトではすでに利用者名の変更を実施していただいています。つきましてはjawsにおいても利用者名の変更をお願いできないでしょうか。よろしくお願いします。--端くれの錬金術師 2006年11月17日 (金) 01:41 (UTC)

ありがとうございました。利用者ページの移動は自分でやってしまいました。wpだと、先回りしてアカウントを取ってしまう利用者名変更妨害がままあるため、対処が早い傾向があります（今回はIRCでKMTさんに頼み込みました）。ついでといってはなんですが、wtのほうでもkahusiさんの会話ページで利用者名変更をお願いしています。こちらのほうもよろしくお願いします。--Hashikure 2006年11月19日 (日) 02:17 (UTC)

宣伝として即時削除なさってましたが、あれは出羽三山史の一部です。コモンズを利用すべきをウィキメディアプロジェクトの外部への参照していたので、削除されてしまったものを復帰するつもりはないのですが、コモンズへのアップロードをすすめるほうが適切ではなかったかと存じます（さぼってた私が指弾するのは烏滸がましいというご説もあろうかと思いますが）。 Kzhr 2008年1月10日 (木) 16:26 (UTC)

  • Bot operator: User:White Cat (Commons:User:White Cat) - En-N, Tr-4, Ja-1
  • List of botflags on other projects: Bot has a flag on wikimedia (meta,commons) wikipedia (ar, az, de, en, es, et, fr, is, ja, ku, nn, no, ru, sr, tr, uz, simple...) (See: m:User:White Cat#Bots)
  • Purpose: Interwiki linking, double redirect fixing, commons delinking (for cases where commonsdelinker fails)

Well, White Cat, I think you understand giving a bot flag is not a kind of personal grant. With a support of the community it is done. You must have known you cannot get any support here! Surely there's no formal request page in this project, but any of community thing must not treated as a personal thing. You didn't answer to my question why you posted here. Even if you don't know Wikisource:井戸端（仮）, our community discussion page, you can reach there through English Wikisource's Scriptorium. I mistrust your posting here indicates you don't have no interest in Wikisource project. Since I cannot trust you, I will not do anything more now. Kzhr 2008年3月18日 (火) 04:57 (UTC)
It is customary to post bot flag requests on the talk page of bureaucrats. Bureaucrats know the best place to put such requests if they feel such a thing is necesary. I never thought of that as a big deal. If you take a look at zh:User talk:Jusjih#Bot flag request for User:計算機 (4th largest wikisource), you can see this custom in action. Now Jusjih was kind enough to move my request to the right place. On some other wikis granting of a bot flag is preformed promptly, ru:Обсуждение участника:ChVA#Bot flag request for Участник:Компьютер (8th largest wikisource). Trivial tasks such as double redirect fixing, interwiki linking may not need a whole lot of discussion. This is just one example. On wikis without a Bureaucrat I post directly at the talk page of the main page if I can tr:Tartışma:Ana Sayfa#Bot flag request for Kullanıcı:Bilgisayar. Bureaucrats or other users can point the bot operators to the right formal page. Such a formal page should be in English and local language so non-natives also know what to post where; see wikipedia:de:Wikipedia:Bots/Anträge auf Botflag.
Since you are a bureaucrat here, I assumed you to be active on this wiki. It takes an average user several hours to post a bot flag request to all editions of wikisource. Thats several hours of non-stop editing just to post the same message. Seeking the right place to post it takes additional time, I want to avoid the bureaucracy as much as I can for all the practical purposes. Unless the bureaucrat deems a formal process necesary, there is no reason to pursue one.
I am trying to help wikimedia projects. I have no other intention or motive.
